The YPG Motorsport Stage 3 turbo upgrade for the Mercedes-AMG GLC63 and GLC63 S (X253 / C253) replaces the factory turbocharger internals with higher-flowing billet compressor wheels, upgraded Inconel turbine wheels, and uprated bearing assemblies — delivering 800 to 900+ HP depending on supporting modifications and ECU calibration.
The GLC63 shares the same M177 single-scroll turbo architecture as the C63 W205, but the SUV platform has specific considerations: higher vehicle weight (1,895 kg vs 1,770 kg), different charge pipe routing, and additional thermal load from reduced airflow at lower speeds. The Stage 3 turbo upgrade combined with a GCC-calibrated ECU tune addresses all of these — the ceramic-coated housings are particularly important on the GLC63 where underhood temperatures run hotter than the sedan.

- TCU tune — optimises the 9G-Tronic for higher torque output
- Forged internals — recommended above 850 HP. M177 crate engine builds rated to 1,500 HP available
GLC63 Stage 3 — SUV-Specific Considerations
The GLC63 is heavier than the C63 and E63, which means it needs to work harder to achieve the same acceleration. The 4MATIC AWD system puts power down more effectively than the RWD C63, but higher thermal load from the SUV body means intercooler and cooling upgrades are more important on this platform. A GCC-calibrated ECU tune that accounts for the GLC63's higher operating temperatures is essential — this is where YPG's GCC-specific calibration experience matters.
