Stage 1
600–640 WHP M177/M178 · Stock hardware · 93 octane

ECU calibration only. Optimizes boost pressure, torque targets, ignition timing, and throttle maps. No hardware changes required. Sharper throttle response, stronger midrange, significantly improved daily drivability. Fully reversible.

Stage 2
650–700 WHP Downpipes + intake + ECU/TCU calibration

Paired with YPG race downpipes and high-flow intake, Stage 2 unlocks substantially more power without touching the turbos. TCU calibration removes transmission torque limits and tightens shift quality. The sweet spot for street and occasional track use.

Stage 3
750–800 WHP Port injection / E30 fuel + upgraded hardware

Adds port injection or ethanol fueling to the Stage 2 platform. The M177/M178 responds exceptionally to E30 blends — meaningful power gains over Stage 2 with improved thermal stability under hard driving. Full ECU/TCU revision included.

How much power does a Stage 2 AMG ECU tune add?

A YPG Stage 2 calibration on the M178 delivers gains of 80–120whp over stock. With race downpipes and intake the AMG GT commonly achieves 620–680whp on 93 octane pump fuel. The C63 M177 follows a similar trajectory.

What's the difference between Stage 4 and Stage 2?

Stage 2 maximizes factory turbos with optimized calibration and free-flowing exhaust. Stage 4 replaces the turbos entirely with billet, ball-bearing units. Stage 4 builds on the M177/M178 can achieve over 850–900whp — roughly double the stock output.

Is the tune safe for daily driving?

Yes. All YPG calibrations retain factory safety systems including limp mode and over-temperature protection. Stage 1 and Stage 2 tunes are specifically calibrated for long-term daily reliability.

Do I need to visit a shop?

No. All YPG ECU and TCU calibrations are delivered remotely via OBD2 flash tool or bench flash when needed. Most remote sessions take under an hour. We ship worldwide — free.

Which AMG models do you support?

YPG supports the full lineup: AMG GT / GTS / GTC / GTR / GTR Pro (M178), C63 / C63S (M177), E63 / E63S, G63, GLC63 / GLC63S, CLA45, A45, and AMG SLS. ECU and TCU calibrations available for all platforms.

Can I revert to stock after tuning?

Yes. A return-to-stock file is included free with every order. You can revert any time using the same flash tool — many customers do this temporarily for dealer service visits.

Does YPG tune the TCU as well?

Yes, and it matters significantly. The AMG 7-speed DCT and 9-speed MCT have factory torque limiters that cap power regardless of the ECU tune. YPG TCU calibrations remove these limits and optimize shift strategies for a dramatically better driving experience.

What fuel is recommended?

93 octane (98 RON) or better for Stage 1 and Stage 2. For Stage 3 and above, E30 or E85 blends are recommended for maximum power and thermal stability. Custom E-tune revisions available on request.
