Refund Policy

At YPG Motorsport, we specialize in high-performance ECU tuning, exotic car upgrades, and premium aftermarket parts. Due to the custom, technical, and safety-critical nature of our products and services, the following refund and return policy applies to all purchases made through our store or directly with our team.

1. Change of Mind / Decision — No Refund

We do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges for change-of-mind purchases. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Ordering the wrong part, size, or fitment
  • Deciding you no longer want the product after purchase
  • Choosing a different brand, upgrade path, or vehicle build direction
  • Buyer's remorse on any completed order

It is the customer's responsibility to verify fitment, compatibility, and specifications before placing an order. Our team is available to assist with pre-purchase inquiries at sales@ypgmotorsport.com.

Note: This section does not apply where overridden by statutory consumer rights. See Section 9 — International Consumer Rights below.

2. All Sales Are Final — Non-Returnable Items

The following categories are final sale with no exceptions:

  • ECU tuning files, calibrations, and remote tuning services
  • Custom or made-to-order parts
  • Special-order items sourced specifically for your vehicle
  • Installed, modified, or used parts (exhaust systems, downpipes, intakes, intercoolers, turbos, aerodynamic components, suspension, etc.)
  • Electrical and electronic components (sensors, wiring harnesses, ECU hardware)
  • Software, licenses, and digital products

3. Returns on Eligible In-Stock Parts

For in-stock, non-custom physical parts only, returns may be accepted under all of the following conditions:

  • Return request submitted within 14 days of delivery
  • Item is unused, uninstalled, and in original sealed packaging
  • Item is in resalable condition as determined by YPG Motorsport
  • A Return Authorization (RA) number has been issued by our team prior to return

A 20% restocking fee applies to all approved returns. Original shipping costs are non-refundable. Return shipping is the customer's responsibility. Items returned without an RA number will be refused.

4. Defective or Damaged Items

If your order arrives with a manufacturing defect or shipping damage:

  • Contact us within 7 days of delivery at sales@ypgmotorsport.com
  • Include your order number, clear photos of the damage/defect, and a description of the issue
  • Do not install, modify, or discard the item — doing so voids any claim

We will arrange a replacement or full refund at our discretion. For shipping damage, you may also be required to file a claim with the shipping carrier. Save all packaging materials and damaged products.

5. Order Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase, provided the item has not been shipped or processing has not begun on custom/tuning work. Once an order has shipped or a custom calibration has started, it cannot be cancelled.

6. Warranty

Manufacturer warranties apply where applicable. YPG Motorsport is not the warrantor — warranty claims are processed through the original manufacturer. We will assist in facilitating warranty claims for products purchased from us. ECU tuning services carry no warranty, as vehicle modifications involve inherent risk and are performed at the owner's discretion.

7. Shipping Costs

All shipping charges are non-refundable. For international orders, the customer is responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, and brokerage fees. YPG Motorsport is not liable for delays caused by customs or carrier issues.

8. Refund Processing

Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days after the returned item has been received and inspected. Refunds will reflect the purchase price minus any applicable restocking fees and original shipping costs.

9. International Consumer Rights — EU, UK & Other Jurisdictions

If you are ordering from a jurisdiction that grants statutory cancellation or withdrawal rights, those rights apply in addition to this policy. In particular:

European Union (EU)

Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU), consumers have the right to withdraw from an online purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason. The item must be returned unused and in its original condition. You are responsible for return shipping costs. Refunds will be issued within 14 days of our receiving the returned item.

United Kingdom (UK)

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, UK consumers have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of delivery. The same conditions as EU above apply.

Exceptions to the EU/UK Right of Withdrawal

Even under EU and UK law, the following are exempt from the right of withdrawal:

  • Goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised (custom tuning files, bespoke calibrations, made-to-order parts)
  • Sealed goods that have been unsealed after delivery and are not suitable for return due to health or hygiene reasons
  • Digital content supplied with your prior consent where you acknowledged losing the right of withdrawal (tuning files, software, licenses)
  • Goods that have been inseparably mixed with other items after delivery (installed parts)

For all other jurisdictions, local consumer protection laws apply where they grant rights beyond this policy. Nothing in this policy is intended to limit or exclude your statutory rights.
