Who does ECU tuning in Kuwait?

YPG Motorsport is Kuwait's specialist ECU tuning workshop, based in Hawalli and operating since 2011. How much does ECU tuning cost in Kuwait?

YPG Flash calibrations start from around 250–450 KWD depending on platform. Stage 2 and Stage 3 packages for AMG, BMW M and Audi RS scale into the 1,500–3,000 KWD range when hardware is included. Bench-only ECU tuning for locked exotic platforms starts at 3,499 USD. Bosch MDG1 / MG1 ECU unlock add-ons are 599 USD.

What is the mandatory CPC unlock on the Mercedes-AMG GT 63?

The GT 63 (X290) uses a Continuous Powertrain Control (CPC) module that limits torque, vmax and exhaust valve behaviour independently of the engine ECU. YPG's CPC Unlock removes the factory torque cap, deletes the top-speed limiter, and returns full manual control over the exhaust flap. It is a prerequisite before any calibration on the GT 63 delivers full potential.

Is ECU tuning legal in Kuwait?

ECU tuning is legal in Kuwait for private and track use. Modified vehicles remain subject to standard road traffic regulations. Kuwait Motor Town — the GCC's only FIA Grade 2 circuit — is the recommended venue for high-power builds. YPG calibrates every vehicle within safe thermal and mechanical limits for the fuel quality and climate of the region.

How long does an ECU tune take?

In-house YPG Flash on an unlocked platform typically takes 2–4 hours in the workshop. Mail-in bench services — including ECU unlock and full calibration — turn around in 3–5 business days once the ECU is received. Complex multi-module unlocks (CPC, TCU, transfer case) can extend the timeline.
