BMW M2 G87 — S58 3.0T I6 ECU Tuning & Performance Parts
The BMW M2 G87 is the entry point to S58 power — 453 HP from the same 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six found in the G80 M3 and G82 M4. Factory forged internals, the same oversized BorgWarner B03 turbochargers, and BMW's 350-bar high-pressure fuel system make the G87 M2 one of the most tuneable sports cars in its price class.
A Stage 1 ECU tune brings the M2 G87 to 540–570 WHP — matching or exceeding the factory M3 Competition. Stage 2 with catless downpipes pushes to 620–650 WHP, putting the lightweight M2 chassis into genuine supercar territory in terms of straight-line performance. The ZF 8HP gearbox handles the torque cleanly at these power levels.
What's available: Stage 1 and Stage 2 ECU tunes via YPG Flash or YPG Bench, RaceChip performance modules, catless downpipes, the YPG valvetronic titanium exhaust system (shared with G80/G82), and the complete YPG850 package for builds targeting 850 HP+. ECU unlock (Femto) required for 2020+ models — handled as part of the YPG bench tuning workflow.
