Lamborghini Tuning Guide — Aventador, Huracan & Urus ECU Tuning, Exhaust & Performance Parts (2026)

Can You Tune a Lamborghini?

Yes — and the gains are substantial. Lamborghini ECUs are locked from factory, which means tuning requires bench extraction: the ECU is physically removed from the car, flashed on specialised hardware, and reinstalled. This applies to every modern Lamborghini — Aventador V12, Huracan V10, and Urus twin-turbo V8. OBD tuning is not possible on any current Lamborghini platform.

YPG Motorsport has been tuning Lamborghini ECUs since 2011. We operate a mail-in bench tuning service with a 2–4 day turnaround — ship your ECU to Kuwait, we flash it and return it via FedEx Priority. No dealer visit required.

Lamborghini Aventador Tuning — LP700, SV & SVJ

The Aventador's 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 is one of the last pure NA engines in production. Tuning focuses on removing factory torque limiters, optimising ignition and fuel mapping, and recalibrating the throttle response curve.

Aventador LP700-4

The base Aventador produces 691 HP. A Stage 2 ECU calibration with an aftermarket exhaust system adds approximately 30–40 HP and transforms the throttle response. The torque limiter delete alone makes the car feel significantly more responsive in Sport and Corsa modes.

Aventador SV (LP750-4)

The SV already has more aggressive factory calibration — 740 HP — but still benefits from torque limiter removal and exhaust optimisation. The same bench tuning process applies.

Aventador SVJ (LP770-4)

The SVJ is the ultimate Aventador — 770 HP from factory with ALA 2.0 active aerodynamics. ECU tuning focuses on throttle mapping and rev limiter adjustment. Paired with catless downpipes, the SVJ gains sharper response and a significantly more aggressive exhaust note.

Lamborghini Huracan Tuning — LP580, LP610, Performante & Evo

The Huracan's 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10 is shared with the Audi R8. It responds to the same calibration approach as the Aventador — bench flash, torque limiter delete, throttle optimisation — with the added option of aftermarket intake systems.

Huracan LP610-4 / LP580-2

The LP610 makes 602 HP AWD; the LP580 makes 572 HP RWD. Stage 2 ECU tuning with an Eventuri carbon intake and sport exhaust adds 25–35 HP and sharpens the V10's upper-RPM delivery.

Huracan Performante & Evo

The Performante produces 631 HP with ALA active aero. The Evo runs 631 HP with revised aerodynamics and rear-wheel steering. Both benefit from the same ECU calibration approach. Gains are slightly more conservative on these models because the factory calibration is already more aggressive.

Huracan Twin-Turbo Kits

For owners chasing 1,000+ HP, twin-turbo conversion kits are available. These transform the V10 into a forced-induction monster. ECU calibration is critical on turbo builds — boost control, fuel mapping, and knock thresholds all need custom bench tuning.

Lamborghini Urus Tuning

The Urus uses a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 (shared architecture with the Audi RSQ8 and Bentley Continental GT V8). Unlike the NA V10 and V12, the Urus responds aggressively to ECU tuning because it's boost-limited from factory.

Stage 1 ECU tuning on the Urus adds approximately 100–130 HP — from 641 HP to 770+ HP — by raising boost pressure, adjusting fuel maps, and removing the factory torque limiter. It's one of the most dramatic gains-per-dollar on any SUV platform.

Lamborghini Exhaust Upgrades

Exhaust is the single most impactful hardware modification on any Lamborghini — especially the naturally aspirated V10 and V12. Capristo, Akrapovic, and iPE are the top-tier options. Capristo valved exhaust systems are particularly popular because they offer adjustable sound levels — quiet for daily driving, full open for track days.

On the Aventador SVJ, catless downpipes paired with a sport exhaust unlock the full V12 sound signature while supporting the ECU calibration.

Lamborghini Intake & Aero Upgrades

Eventuri carbon intake systems for the Huracan V10 are one of our most popular Lamborghini parts. The carbon fibre construction feeds cooler air to the engine while adding a visual upgrade to the engine bay. On the Aventador, factory intake systems are already well-designed — exhaust and ECU tuning deliver more value.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Lamborghini ECU tuning safe?

Yes. Our calibrations are developed in-house and tested on our own cars before release. We tune within safe parameters — no aggressive timing advance, no dangerous lean conditions. Every tune is reversible to stock.

Can I tune my Lamborghini via OBD?

No. All modern Lamborghini ECUs are locked and require bench extraction for flashing. The ECU is physically removed, connected to bench hardware, flashed with the new calibration, and reinstalled. Our mail-in service handles this with a 2–4 day turnaround.

Do I need to ship my whole car?

No. You only ship the ECU — or have a local shop remove it for you. We provide full removal instructions for each model. The ECU ships in a small box via FedEx.

Which Lamborghini gains the most from tuning?

The Urus — by far. The twin-turbo V8 is heavily restricted from factory. Stage 1 tuning adds 100–130 HP with zero hardware changes. The naturally aspirated V10 and V12 gain less from ECU tuning alone but respond well to exhaust + tune combinations.

Do you tune the Lamborghini Revuelto?

The Revuelto is Lamborghini's hybrid V12 successor to the Aventador. ECU tuning development is underway — read our Revuelto tuning guide for current status.
