What Are CNC-Ported Heads?
CNC porting reshapes the intake and exhaust ports using computer-controlled machining. Every port is cut to our flow-bench program — matched runner volumes, identical flow rates across all eight cylinders. On a twin-turbo engine like the M177, this means faster spool, more efficient combustion at high boost, and measurable gains across the entire RPM range.

Why Port the M177 Heads?
The stock M177 heads are designed for factory boost levels. As you increase turbo size and boost pressure, the stock ports become a restriction. CNC-ported heads remove that bottleneck — more air in at lower pressure drop, faster exhaust scavenging, and reduced heat soak. The result is more power, better spool, and a stronger powerband from mid-range to redline.
If you have built or are building an M177 forged short block, ported heads complete the package. Together, they form a complete M177 crate engine.

Our M177 ported heads ship fully assembled. Oversized intake valves in stainless steel, Inconel exhaust valves for sustained heat resistance, uprated springs with matched seat and open pressures, and titanium retainers for reduced valvetrain mass. Every component is selected for reliability at sustained high RPM and high boost.
