What is E85 / Flex Fuel Tuning?
E85 is a fuel blend containing 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline. Flex fuel tuning calibrates the ECU to take advantage of ethanol's superior properties — higher octane rating (~108 RON equivalent), greater resistance to detonation, and a significant cooling effect on intake charge temperatures. The result: substantially more power from the same hardware.

How Flex Fuel Works

Requirements
E85 tuning typically requires upgraded fuel injectors and fuel pumps (ethanol requires ~30% more fuel volume), an ethanol content sensor, and E85-compatible fuel lines.
