Ferrari F8 Tributo Stage 1 vs Stage 2 ECU Tune — F154 3.9T V8 Power Comparison
Ferrari F8 Tributo — Stage 1 vs Stage 2 ECU Tune
The Ferrari F8 Tributo produces 720 HP from the F154CD 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8 — the most powerful mid-engine V8 Ferrari ever made. It shares its architecture with the 488 GTB/Pista but with significant factory upgrades. ECU tuning pushes the F8 into hypercar territory.
Power Comparison — F154CD 3.9T V8
| Specification | Stock | Stage 1 | Stage 2 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Peak Horsepower | 720 HP | ~790 HP | ~850 HP |
| Peak Torque | 770 Nm | ~850 Nm | ~920 Nm |
| Hardware Required | — | None — ECU only | Sport exhaust / downpipes |
| 0-100 km/h (est.) | 2.9s | ~2.6s | ~2.4s |
Stage 1 — 790 HP, Software Only
The F154CD has headroom beyond Ferrari's factory calibration. A Stage 1 tune increases boost pressure, optimizes ignition timing, and refines fuelling maps for approximately 70 HP over stock. The F8's 7-speed DCT translates the additional power into explosive acceleration — noticeably stronger mid-range pull from 4,000 RPM through to the 8,000 RPM redline.
Stage 2 — 850 HP with Exhaust
Stage 2 adds a sport exhaust or catless downpipes. The reduced backpressure lets the turbos sustain higher boost at higher RPMs, and the Stage 2 calibration raises boost targets accordingly. At ~850 HP, the F8 Tributo matches or exceeds many factory hypercars — including the LaFerrari's stock power figure.
F8 vs 488 Tuning
The F8 starts 59 HP above the 488 GTB and uses an evolved version of the same F154 engine. Both respond similarly to tuning, but the F8's higher factory baseline means Stage 1 already exceeds a 488 Stage 2. See our 488 Stage 1 vs Stage 2 comparison for the predecessor platform.
