How We Ship Engines Worldwide — YPG Motorsport Logistics
YPG Motorsport ships complete crate engines, forged short blocks, and CNC-ported cylinder heads from our Kuwait workshop to customers worldwide. Every engine build ships fully insured via FedEx International Priority or DHL Express, door-to-door, with tracking from dispatch to delivery. This page explains our packaging, shipping process, and delivery timelines.
Engine Crating & Packaging
Every engine ships in a purpose-built wooden crate with internal bracing and foam padding. The engine is bolted to a steel mounting plate inside the crate to prevent movement during transit. All fluid ports are sealed and capped. External components (alternator, A/C compressor, power steering pump) are removed and packed separately within the crate where applicable. Cylinder head ports are sealed with protective caps and tape. The crate exterior is stencilled with handling instructions, weight, and orientation markings.
Forged short blocks (without heads) ship in smaller crates with the same internal bracing and mounting plate. Standalone CNC-ported cylinder heads ship in reinforced cardboard cartons with closed-cell foam inserts protecting the valve train and mating surfaces.

Insurance & Claims
Every engine shipment is fully insured for the declared build value. In the event of transit damage, YPG Motorsport handles the insurance claim process directly with the carrier. Customers are advised to inspect the crate exterior for visible damage before signing for delivery. If the crate shows signs of impact or mishandling, note the damage on the carrier's delivery receipt and photograph the crate before opening. Contact sales@ypgmotorsport.com immediately with photos — YPG will initiate the claim and arrange a replacement or repair.
Customs & Import Duties
GCC shipments are customs-cleared by FedEx/DHL as part of the standard delivery process. International shipments outside the GCC are shipped DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid) — the customer is responsible for import duties and taxes in their country. YPG provides all commercial invoices and export documentation required for customs clearance. For US customers, AMG engine builds are classified under HS code 8407.34 (spark-ignition reciprocating piston engines, cylinder capacity exceeding 1,000cc). Import duty rates vary by country — contact your local customs authority or freight broker for an estimate before ordering.
ECU & Small Parts Shipping
Forged internals kits, ECU units (for bench tuning), and small performance parts ship in standard FedEx International Priority packaging. ECU units for bench tuning are shipped in anti-static bags inside padded cartons. Return shipping for bench-tuned ECUs is included in the service price. Typical ECU bench turnaround is 2–4 business days from receipt.
Order & Tracking
Every shipment generates a tracking number emailed to the customer within 24 hours of dispatch. Track your shipment directly through FedEx Tracking or DHL Tracking. For shipping questions or delivery scheduling, contact sales@ypgmotorsport.com.
