Stage 1 — 750 HP, No Hardware
The S63's factory turbos have enormous headroom. Stage 1 resets boost targets, ignition timing, and fuel delivery to extract approximately 125 HP over stock — the same gain as the M5 F90, since the engine and turbo hardware are identical. The X5M's AWD system and 8-speed ZF torque converter put the power down with zero drama, making it one of the most effective daily-driver performance upgrades in the BMW lineup.
Stage 2 — 850 HP with Exhaust
Stage 2 adds catless downpipes, a de-catted midpipe, and upgraded intake. At ~850 HP and 1,000+ Nm, the X5M runs mid-10-second quarter-mile times — absurd for a 2.4-tonne luxury SUV. The X6M shares the same S63 powertrain and responds identically to tuning.
