The Quattroporte — Maserati's Flagship Sedan

The Maserati Quattroporte is the brand's flagship luxury sedan, offered with two distinct engine families: the F160 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 shared with the Ghibli and Levante, and the F154 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 derived from Ferrari's renowned V8 platform. Both engines respond exceptionally well to ECU calibration, offering significant power gains with proven reliability.

Quattroporte V6 — F160 3.0T

The V6-powered Quattroporte uses the same Ferrari-built F160 engine found in the Ghibli and Levante. In the Quattroporte, it is offered in two outputs:

• Quattroporte S: 430 HP / 580 Nm
• Quattroporte S Q4: 430 HP / 580 Nm (with all-wheel drive)

V6 Stage 1 — Software Only

Stage 1 calibration on the Quattroporte V6 delivers approximately +60 HP and +80 Nm, bringing output to roughly 490 HP and 660 Nm. Our engineers optimize boost pressure, ignition timing, and fueling maps while retaining all factory safety systems. The tune is calibrated for 98 RON / 93 octane fuel.

Because the Quattroporte V6 shares its engine with the Ghibli S and Levante S, YPG benefits from an extensive calibration dataset across all three platforms. Proven maps from one vehicle transfer directly to the others, with adjustments only for the Quattroporte's unique gearing and weight characteristics.

V6 Stage 2 — With Hardware

Stage 2 adds supporting modifications for an additional +30 HP over Stage 1:

• High-flow downpipe: Reduces exhaust backpressure for improved turbo response
• Sport air intake: Increases airflow to the compressors
• Sport exhaust / decat: Optional, further reduces backpressure

Stage 2 output reaches approximately 520 HP and 720 Nm — a transformation that turns the Quattroporte into a genuine high-performance sedan while retaining its luxury character.

Quattroporte V8 — F154 3.8T

The Quattroporte GTS and Trofeo use the F154 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8, a Ferrari-derived powerplant shared with the Levante Trofeo. This is a flat-plane-crank-inspired engine with an exceptionally broad torque curve:

• Quattroporte GTS: 530 HP / 710 Nm
• Quattroporte Trofeo: 580 HP / 730 Nm

V8 Stage 1 — Software Only

Stage 1 on the Quattroporte V8 delivers approximately +50–70 HP depending on the variant:

• GTS 530 HP → ~590 HP
• Trofeo 580 HP → ~640 HP

The V8's larger displacement and twin-turbo system provide substantial headroom for safe boost and timing optimization. Torque gains are equally impressive, with Stage 1 adding approximately +80–100 Nm across the mid-range.

V8 Stage 2 — With Hardware

Stage 2 on the V8 pairs ECU calibration with performance exhaust components:

• High-flow downpipes (x2): Critical for unlocking the V8's full potential
• Sport exhaust: Reduced backpressure and improved exhaust flow
• Upgraded intake: Higher-flow air filters and intake piping

Stage 2 V8 output:

• GTS: ~640 HP / 830 Nm
• Trofeo: ~690 HP / 870 Nm

For Quattroporte owners pursuing maximum performance:

• Upgraded intercooler: Reduces intake temperatures under sustained load, essential for track use
• Colder spark plugs: Recommended at Stage 2 and above for both V6 and V8
• Transmission calibration: ZF 8-speed shift point and torque converter optimization
• Brake upgrade: Carbon ceramic recommended for V8 Stage 2 builds
