Performance Exhaust Upgrades Kuwait — Catless Downpipes, Akrapovic & Catback

Types of Exhaust Upgrades
Catless Downpipes
Downpipes are the first section of exhaust pipe after the turbocharger(s). Factory downpipes contain catalytic converters which, while necessary for emissions compliance, are significant flow restrictions on turbocharged performance cars. Catless downpipes remove the catalytic converters and replace them with straight-through pipes, dramatically reducing exhaust backpressure. The result:
- Faster turbo spool time — turbos reach full boost earlier in the RPM range
- Higher sustained boost capability — less backpressure allows higher boost without turbine flooding
- +20–60 HP in combination with ECU recalibration
- Significantly more aggressive exhaust note — the most dramatic sound modification available for any turbocharged performance car
Akrapovic Systems
YPG Motorsport is an authorized Akrapovic dealer. Akrapovic builds the world's most acoustically engineered titanium exhaust systems — slip-on, full Evolution, and link pipe/OPF delete configurations available for Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Mercedes-AMG, BMW M, and Porsche. Weight reduction, performance gain, and acoustic improvement in every system.
Catback Exhaust Systems
Catback systems replace everything after the catalytic converter — the mid-pipe and rear muffler section. Less power-critical than catless downpipes on turbocharged cars (the restriction is at the turbo exit, not further back in the system), but acoustically significant — particularly for sound tuning and reducing factory exhaust drone.
Exhaust Upgrades by Platform
Mercedes-AMG (M177, M178)
The M177 and M178 AMG engines respond strongly to catless downpipes. The factory downpipes on C63, E63, G63, AMG GT, and GT63 are substantial restrictions. Catless downpipes paired with a YPG Flash Stage 2 calibration deliver 100–150 HP gains and transform the V8 biturbo sound character. BMW M (S55, S58, S63)
Post-2021 BMW M3/M4 and M5 models have OPF (Otto Particle Filter) on the downpipes — the most restrictive factory exhaust component of any modern performance car. OPF delete kits restore the S58 and S63's sound and remove the biggest single restriction in the exhaust system. Catless and OPF-delete downpipes available. Akrapovic link pipe kits and full systems available.
Ferrari (F154)
Ferrari 488 and F8 Tributo catless downpipes. The flat-plane V8 sound without cats is one of the great automotive experiences — Ferrari's factory system suppresses it aggressively for regulatory compliance. Stage 2 with catless downpipes and bench ECU calibration: +100–130 HP and a completely transformed acoustic character.
Lamborghini (V10, V12)
Huracan and Aventador catless downpipes. The naturally aspirated V10 and V12 sound through catless pipes is extraordinary. Akrapovic Evolution systems available for both platforms.
McLaren (M840T, M838T)
720S, 650S, and 570S catless race downpipes. The M840T twin-turbo through catless pipes is one of the more characterful sounds available in modern supercars.
Installation
YPG Motorsport performs exhaust installation at our Hawalli, Kuwait workshop. GCC customers can ship parts and have installation performed by a local authorized workshop — YPG provides installation guides for all stocked products.
