BMW M5 F90 & X5M G05 ECU Tuning — S63 Stage 1, 2 & Race Chip | YPG Motorsport

The BMW M5 F90 and X5M G05 share the S63M 4.4L twin-turbo V8 — one of the strongest and most tuneable V8 biturbo engines in production. Factory output on the M5 Competition is 625 HP and on the X5M Competition is 617 HP, but the S63 hardware is capable of well over 800 HP on the stock block with the right calibration and supporting modifications. YPG Motorsport offers YPG Flash remote ECU tuning and Race Chip supply for both platforms across the GCC.

Race Chip for M5 F90 / X5M G05

YPG supplies and configures Race Chip plug-and-play tuning boxes for the S63-equipped M5 and X5M. Race Chip connects to the engine harness without ECU modification — warranty-friendly and fully reversible. Power gains: up to +80 HP and +120 Nm with the Race Chip GTS Black configuration. Akrapovic Exhaust for M5/X5M

YPG Motorsport is an authorized Akrapovic dealer. The Akrapovic Evolution system for the M5 F90 delivers 12–18 kg weight reduction and transforms the S63 V8 sound — the factory exhaust on the M5 is deliberately quiet, and Akrapovic reverses that entirely. Available with OPF-equipped and OPF-delete configurations.

GCC Calibration Notes

The S63M is calibrated at the factory for 98 RON European premium. GCC fuel quality (91–95 RON) means the stock map runs conservative timing under all load conditions in Gulf heat. YPG GCC calibrations account for the actual fuel octane available in Kuwait, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman — not the European numbers in the factory base map. Every M5/X5M YPG Flash calibration includes IAT-based boost and timing compensation for ambient temperatures up to 50°C.
