ECU calibrations and race downpipes across every brand YPG Motorsport covers — Mercedes-AMG, BMW M, Ferrari, McLaren, Lamborghini, Porsche, Audi RS, Aston Martin, Bentley, and Maserati. A downpipe paired with a matched ECU calibration is the single most effective power upgrade path on any turbocharged platform. The downpipe removes the factory catalytic converter restriction (or replaces it with a high-flow 200-cell GESI cat), reducing backpressure and exhaust gas temperature. The ECU calibration then takes advantage of the improved exhaust flow by running higher boost targets, more aggressive ignition timing, and revised fuel maps — delivering measurable power gains that neither modification achieves alone.
YPG builds every calibration in-house and matches each tune to your specific hardware configuration. A Stage 1 tune on stock hardware delivers significant gains; add a catless or high-flow downpipe and the Stage 2 calibration unlocks the platform's full potential. On the M177 4.0T V8, that means 650–700 WHP from a stock-turbo C63 S. On the S58 3.0T I6, expect 620–650 WHP from an M3 or M4 Competition. On the McLaren M838T/M840T twin-turbo V8, Stage 2 with downpipes pushes the 720S past 780 WHP.
Downpipes are constructed from 304 stainless steel with TIG-welded joints and CNC-machined flanges for factory-precise fitment. Available in catless, 200-cell GESI catted, and 400-cell high-flow catted configurations depending on platform and intended use. All downpipes ship with gaskets and hardware. ECU calibrations are delivered via YPG Flash (remote OBD — plug in and flash from anywhere in the world) or YPG Bench (mail-in service for locked ECU platforms).
