The Link BMWLink E36X is a true plug-and-play standalone ECU replacement for BMW E36 models equipped with the M50TUB25 engine. It plugs directly into the factory ECU connector — no adapter harnesses, no custom wiring, no cutting into the OEM loom. Remove the stock ECU, plug in the BMWLink, and you have full standalone engine management running on Link's G4X platform.
The G4X PlugIn range uses the vehicle's factory wiring harness, making installation straightforward. Once installed, the BMWLink provides full control over fueling, ignition timing, idle speed, and boost (where applicable) through PC Link tuning software. It unlocks the ability to run custom fuel maps, adjust ignition timing for modifications, support aftermarket sensors, and log engine data at 512MB of 32-bit resolution.
