Mercedes-AMG GT / GTS / GTR (C190 · M178 4.0L Twin-Turbo V8) — Stage 3 Power Package

The AMG GT was built to be a sports car first — Stage 3 turns it into a weapon. 1,000 HP+ rated turbo hardware, catless downpipes, and a custom ECU calibration matched to the full hardware stack. Everything ships together from YPG Motorsport — the same team behind the world's first sub-10-second Mercedes-AMG C63 W205 quarter mile (9.97 seconds, 828 WHP, Beech Bend Raceway Park, Kentucky, April 9, 2019) — with over 14 years of AMG performance engineering.

Who This Package Is For

AMG GT owners who bought the car because it's a front-mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive sports car — and want it to make the power that chassis deserves. The C190 platform with its transaxle layout, aluminum-intensive construction, and track-focused geometry is one of the best high-power RWD platforms AMG has ever built. Whether you're chasing time attack events, drag strip runs, or want a road car that casually makes 800+ WHP with room to grow, this is the build. The rear-drive layout means Stage 3 power rewards driver skill — this is a car that bites if you don't respect it.

Why a Matched Package From One Builder

Stage 3 power depends on the turbos, exhaust flow, and calibration working as a system. The ECU calibration in this package is developed specifically for these turbos and these downpipes — not a generic file layered over mixed hardware from different vendors. One order, one shipment, one calibration file, one team responsible for the result.

Delivery & Support

Hardware ships worldwide. GCC delivery to Kuwait, UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Oman via FedEx International Priority (1–3 business days). ECU calibration delivered remotely via YPG Flash or YPG Bench — no need to ship the car. Datalog-based revisions included until the car is right. Installation available at YPG Motorsport Kuwait or through your local performance workshop.

Common Questions

Do I need forged internals for Stage 3 on the AMG GT?
For power levels up to approximately 800 WHP on the M178, the factory internals can hold. Beyond 850 WHP, especially on E85 or with regular track use, forged rods and pistons are strongly recommended.

Is the M178 the same as the M177?
The M178 is a dry-sump variant of the M177 4.0L twin-turbo V8, designed specifically for the AMG GT's front-mid-engine layout. The turbo upgrade and calibration are developed specifically for the M178's oil system, cooling, and mounting differences.

Can I run Stage 3 on pump fuel?
Yes. The calibration is developed for 95–98 RON (91–93 octane) pump fuel as the baseline. For maximum power beyond 900 WHP, E85 or methanol injection is recommended.

Which AMG GT models does this fit?
The Stage 3 package fits all C190-generation AMG GT models: AMG GT, AMG GT S, AMG GT C, AMG GT R, and AMG GT R Pro. The ECU calibration is model-specific — tell us which variant you have at checkout.
