The BMW S65 4.0L naturally aspirated V8 is one of the most celebrated engines BMW M has ever built — the heart of the legendary E90/E92/E93 M3. While the stock internals handle the factory 414HP reliably, any serious power build — whether supercharged, turbocharged, or high-RPM naturally aspirated — demands stronger internals. Our S65 forged internals kit replaces the factory cast components with race-grade forged units rated for serious power on pump fuel, E30, or full E85.

Forged pistons — CP or equivalent specification, 92.00mm bore (stock bore)

Why Upgrade the S65 Internals?
The stock S65 uses forged aluminium pistons and fracture-split connecting rods from the factory. While adequate for the naturally aspirated setup, forced induction builds or high-RPM endurance applications push the factory rods past their design limits. The stock rods are the first failure point — typically bending or failing at the big end under sustained high-boost or high-RPM operation. Upgrading to 4340 I-beam forged rods with ARP fasteners and matched forged pistons gives you a bottom end that can handle supercharger kits, turbo conversions, and sustained track abuse without compromise.

CNC machined to ±0.001mm centre-to-centre tolerance
Magnaflux inspected for material consistency
