Custom forged pistons for the Mercedes-AMG SLS (C197) — purpose-built for the M159 6.2L naturally aspirated V8 (the dry-sump, hand-built evolution of the M156) to handle the extreme cylinder pressures of forced-induction conversions and high-RPM naturally aspirated builds.
The M159 shares its bore and stroke with the M156 but features a redesigned intake, dry-sump oiling, and a higher redline. Factory cast pistons remain the first failure point when adding a supercharger, turbocharger, or pushing sustained high-RPM operation. Our forged piston set delivers the strength needed to survive forced-induction builds without the full cost of a complete forged internals kit.
