The M156 is an exceptional platform for forced induction. With forged internals, the engine supports supercharger and turbo builds producing 1,500HP+. The factory connecting rods are the weak point above 600HP under boost — the YPG forged build eliminates this limitation entirely.
For naturally aspirated builds, the M156 responds well to ported heads, aggressive cam profiles, and intake work — producing 550-600HP NA with the right combination.
