The BMW M3 G80 and M4 G82 with the S58 twin-turbo 3.0L inline-six are among the most tunable performance cars available today. The S58 produces 510 HP in standard form and 530 HP in Competition — but the engine hardware is capable of well over 700 HP on the stock block with the right calibration and supporting modifications. Tuning Options for the G80/G82 S58
Option 1 — Race Chip (Plug and Play)
YPG Motorsport supplies and configures Race Chip tuning boxes for the BMW M3/M4 G80/G82. The Race Chip connects to the engine harness, modifies boost and fuel signals before they reach the ECU, and produces real power gains without any ECU modification. Installation takes approximately 20 minutes and is fully reversible.

Option 2 — Stage 1 ECU Flash (YPG Flash Remote)
Full OBD ECU calibration via YPG Flash remote service. No hardware required. We write a custom map that increases boost pressure, optimizes ignition timing, and refines fuel delivery beyond what a plug-and-play box can achieve.

Option 3 — Stage 2 ECU + Catless Downpipes + Intake
Stage 2 pairs the ECU calibration with catless downpipes (deleting the OPF/GPF particulate filter) and an Eventuri cold air intake. The OPF on post-2021 M3/M4 models is the single biggest restriction on the S58 — removing it transforms both the sound and power delivery.

S55 Platforms (F80/F82 M3/M4)

GCC Calibration Notes
The S58 runs aggressive factory maps for European 98 RON fuel. In the GCC, running 91–95 RON requires careful timing and boost management. YPG's GCC-specific calibrations are written for the actual available fuel in Kuwait, UAE, and Saudi Arabia — not the European octane assumptions baked into generic tune files.
