What is YPG Flash?

YPG Flash is YPG Motorsport's remote ECU calibration service. We ship you an OBD tool, you plug it into your car's OBD-II port, the ECU data is transmitted to our calibration team in Kuwait, and a custom map — written specifically for your mods, GCC fuel quality, and local climate — is pushed back to your vehicle. Turnaround is 24–72 hours. Works from anywhere in the GCC and internationally.

What is YPG Bench?

YPG Bench is our mail-in bench ECU service. You remove and ship your ECU to Kuwait. Our team opens the unit, writes calibration data directly to the ECU hardware chip — bypassing OBD entirely — and returns it calibrated and ready to reinstall. Standard for Ferrari, Lamborghini, locked older McLarens, and all Stage 3–4 builds requiring deep map access.

What stages of tuning does YPG offer?

  • Stage 1: ECU calibration only. No hardware changes. Typically +40–80HP with no mechanical stress.
  • Stage 2: ECU tune + catless downpipes + performance intake. +100–200HP on forced-induction platforms. Most popular build.
  • Stage 3: ECU/TCU + downpipes + intake + upgraded turbos. +200–400HP over stock. Fuel system upgrade required.
  • Stage 4: Full engine build — forged internals, upgraded fuel system, upgraded turbos, full bench calibration. This is the level behind YPG's sub-10-second C63 W205 world record.

Pricing FAQ

How much does ECU tuning cost at YPG Motorsport?

Stage 1 remote tunes start from $499. Stage 2 packages start from $799. Bench tunes start from $1,200. Stage 3 and Stage 4 builds are quoted individually based on parts and platform. Contact YPG for a custom quote.

Does YPG offer staged payments for large builds?

Yes. For Stage 3 and Stage 4 packages, milestone-based payment arrangements are available. Contact us for custom billing on builds over $5,000 USD.

GCC Coverage & Climate FAQ

Can customers in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Bahrain get YPG service?

Yes. YPG Flash ships to all GCC countries. We serve customers in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Doha, Manama, and Muscat. For bench ECU work, the ECU ships to Kuwait and returns calibrated — typically a 5–7 day round trip within the GCC.

Why does the GCC climate matter for ECU tuning?

GCC summer temperatures exceed 45°C. Pump fuel ranges from 91–95 RON. A European calibration file is written for 15–20°C and 98–102 RON. Running that map in Kuwait in July is how engines get damaged. Every YPG calibration accounts for correct intake temperature compensation, conservative timing under heat load, and knock thresholds matched to available GCC fuel.

Safety & Warranty FAQ

Is ECU tuning safe?

Yes, when performed by a qualified calibrator using your car's logged data. YPG Stage 1 and Stage 2 tunes are written within the safe limits of factory engine components. We do not apply generic files — every map is verified against your car's knock, boost, fuel trim, and temperature logs. Stage 3/4 requires supporting forged hardware before calibration is written.

Will tuning void my factory warranty?

In GCC markets, warranties are administered locally. Stage 1 tunes are difficult to detect when removed before dealer visits. Stage 2 physical modifications (catless downpipes, aftermarket intake) are visible on inspection and may affect warranty claims. YPG recommends completing Stage 2+ builds after the factory warranty expires, or on dedicated performance vehicles.

World Record

What is YPG Motorsport's world record?

YPG Motorsport holds the record for the world's first sub-10-second quarter mile in a Mercedes-AMG C63 W205, set at Kuwait Motor Town — the GCC's only FIA Grade 2 certified motorsport circuit. The build featured a full Stage 4 M177 engine: forged internals, custom turbochargers, upgraded fuel system, and a bench calibration written in-house.
