The Maserati Ghibli is powered by the F160 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 — a Ferrari-derived engine built at the Ferrari factory in Maranello and exclusive to Maserati's modern sedan and SUV lineup. This engine shares its fundamental architecture with the Maserati Levante and Quattroporte V6 variants, making it one of the most well-understood performance platforms in the Maserati range.

The F160 is offered in multiple states of tune across the Ghibli lineup:

• Ghibli (base): 350 HP / 500 Nm
• Ghibli S / S Q4: 430 HP / 580 Nm
• Ghibli Trofeo: 580 HP / 730 Nm

Ghibli ECU Tuning — Stage 1

• Ghibli 350 HP → ~400 HP (+50 HP, +80 Nm) — The base model sees the largest percentage gain, transforming the car's mid-range punch
• Ghibli S 430 HP → ~490 HP (+60 HP, +80 Nm) — The higher-output variant gains proportionally, with noticeably stronger pull above 4,000 RPM
• Ghibli Trofeo 580 HP → ~630 HP (+50 HP, +60 Nm) — Even Maserati's flagship variant has room for calibration refinement

All Stage 1 tunes are calibrated for 98 RON / 93 octane fuel and retain all factory safety systems including knock detection, overboost protection, and thermal management.

Ghibli ECU Tuning — Stage 2

Stage 2 pairs the ECU calibration with supporting hardware for additional gains of approximately +30 HP over Stage 1 across all variants:

• High-flow downpipe: Reduces exhaust backpressure, improving turbo spool and sustained boost
• Sport air intake: Increases airflow volume and reduces intake restriction
• Optional sport exhaust / decat: Further reduces backpressure for maximum turbo efficiency

• Ghibli base: ~430 HP
• Ghibli S: ~520 HP
• Ghibli Trofeo: ~660 HP

Ghibli vs Levante — Shared Platform Advantage

The Ghibli and Levante share the same F160 V6 engine.
