Eventuri Cold Air Intake — BMW M, AMG, Ferrari & McLaren Power Gains Guide (2026)
Eventuri makes the best-sounding, highest-performing cold air intake systems on the market for exotic and German performance cars. They're not the cheapest option — but they're the only intakes we stock and recommend at YPG Motorsport. Here's why, and what you can expect for your specific car.
What Is an Eventuri Intake?
Eventuri cold air intakes are carbon fiber induction systems engineered to replace the factory airbox on performance vehicles. Unlike generic aftermarket intakes that simply open up the box and shorten the filter path, Eventuri systems use computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to optimize airflow velocity from outside the engine bay, through a sealed carbon duct, into a high-flow filter. The result is cooler, denser air delivered at higher flow rates than the OEM airbox — and a dramatically improved induction sound.
At YPG Motorsport, we are an authorized Eventuri dealer for Kuwait and the GCC. All Eventuri products sold through YPG are genuine, warranty-backed, and sourced directly from Eventuri.
Why Eventuri in the GCC?
In European climates, intake upgrades are primarily about flow rate and sound — ambient air is already relatively cool. In the GCC, there is an additional factor: intake air temperature (IAT). A sealed Eventuri system that pulls air from outside the engine bay can deliver air 10–25°C cooler than a hot-side open intake in Gulf summer conditions. Cooler, denser air means the ECU can run more aggressive timing and boost before heat-driven knock protection kicks in. The power gain from an Eventuri in a GCC climate is measurably larger than the same install in Northern Europe.
Eventuri for BMW M Cars
BMW M3 G80 / M4 G82 (S58 Engine)
The Eventuri S58 intake for the G80/G82 is one of the most popular intakes we sell. It replaces both factory airboxes with a dual-channel carbon system. The S58 already sounds good — the Eventuri transforms it into something that warrants a window down every time you lift off. Power gains when paired with an ECU tune: +10–20 HP on top of the tune alone, with measurable improvement in spool time due to reduced intake restriction and lower IAT.
BMW M5 F90 / X5M G05 (S63 Engine)
The S63-based cars respond well to the Eventuri system. Reduced intake restriction pairs with the twin-turbo architecture for improved boost response at low and mid RPM. When combined with a Stage 2 ECU tune, the Eventuri is a necessary complement to unlock the full power potential.
Eventuri for Mercedes-AMG
AMG C63 W205 / E63 W213 / GT63 (M177 Engine)
The M177 4.0L biturbo is highly responsive to intake upgrades. The Eventuri M177 system delivers significant IAT reduction in the hot engine bay of the C63 and GT63 — particularly important in GCC summer conditions where engine bay temps can exceed 70°C at idle in traffic. When paired with a Stage 2 ECU tune and catless downpipes, the Eventuri is the third piece of the power triangle.
AMG GT / GT S (M178 Engine)
The AMG GT's mid-mounted engine and tight engine bay make the factory airbox one of the biggest bottlenecks on the platform. Eventuri's M178 intake routes air from the front of the car through sealed carbon ducts, bypassing the hot underhood air entirely. IAT reduction of 15–20°C under sustained driving is typical.
Eventuri for Ferrari
Ferrari 488 GTB / Pista (F154 Engine)
Eventuri's Ferrari 488 intake system is a performance and aesthetic statement. The factory airbox on the 488 is restrictive by design — Ferrari prioritizes noise regulations over flow in stock form. The Eventuri system opens up the V8's mid-range breathing significantly, with the induction sound becoming a feature in itself. Combined with a YPG bench ECU tune, this is the first hardware upgrade we recommend for 488 owners after downpipes.
Eventuri for McLaren
McLaren 720S (M840T Engine)
The 720S runs one of the most sophisticated stock intake systems in the supercar segment — but it still benefits from the Eventuri upgrade, primarily through IAT management and induction sound quality. The M840T's twin-turbos are highly sensitive to intake air temperature — even a 5°C reduction in IAT translates to measurable additional boost before the ECU's knock protection pulls timing.
Installation Notes for GCC Owners
- All Eventuri intakes are direct-fit for their listed platforms — no cutting, drilling, or fabrication required
- Installation takes 30–90 minutes depending on the car
- YPG provides installation support and can perform fitment in our Hawalli workshop for Kuwait customers
- GCC customers should ensure the intake version matches their specific model year — some cars had mid-year engine bay changes that affect fitment
